1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device on return visits and remember certain preferences or actions. Cookies do not give us access to your computer or any information beyond what you choose to share.
This policy covers cookies used on the Chimely website at chimely.sbs. For a broader overview of how we handle your personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for two purposes: to keep the site working as expected, and to understand, in aggregate terms, how visitors move through it so we can improve the content and structure over time. We do not use cookies to build personal profiles, display advertisements, or track you across other websites.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
These cookies are required for the site to function. They cannot be switched off. No personal data is stored in them beyond what is technically necessary.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| cookieConsent | Stores your cookie preference (accepted or declined) so the consent notice does not reappear on every visit. | 12 months |
| PHPSESSID | Standard PHP session identifier. Used to keep your session active while navigating the site. Deleted when you close your browser. | Session |
Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors arrive at and move through the site. The data is collected in aggregate and is not linked to individual identities. Analytics cookies are only placed if you have given your consent via the cookie notice.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics. Distinguishes unique visitors using a randomly generated identifier. Used to calculate visit, session, and campaign data in aggregate reports. | 2 years |
| _ga_XXXXXXXX | Google Analytics. Stores and counts page views for the property identified by the suffix code. | 2 years |
| _gid | Google Analytics. Distinguishes users over a 24-hour window. | 24 hours |
| _gat | Google Analytics. Used to limit the rate of data requests sent to Google's servers. | 1 minute |
Third-Party Cookies
Our homepage includes an embedded Google Maps frame to show the workshop location. If you interact with that element, Google may set its own cookies subject to Google's privacy policy. We have no control over those cookies and do not have access to the data they collect.
We do not embed social media widgets, advertising networks, or other third-party scripts that would set additional cookies.
4. What We Do Not Use Cookies For
We do not use cookies to:
- Store payment or financial information
- Track your activity on other websites
- Display targeted or behavioural advertising
- Identify you personally without your explicit consent
5. Your Choices
When you first visit the site, a notice appears giving you the option to accept or decline non-essential cookies. Your choice is stored in the cookieConsent cookie for 12 months so you are not asked again on every visit.
You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies (which will prompt the notice to reappear on your next visit) or by using your browser's cookie management settings.
Managing Cookies Through Your Browser
Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. The steps vary by browser; guidance is usually found under Settings → Privacy or Settings → Security. Note that blocking all cookies may affect how this site and other sites you visit behave.
Guidance for common browsers:
Opting Out of Google Analytics
If you have accepted analytics cookies but later wish to opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. This prevents your visit data from being sent to Google Analytics across all sites that use it.
6. Cookies and Thai Law
Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA) applies to the collection and processing of personal data, including data gathered through cookies. We obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies, in line with PDPA requirements. You may withdraw consent at any time as described in Section 5 above.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our use of cookies changes. Any material revisions will be noted with a revised "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We recommend checking back periodically if cookie practices are a concern for you.
